Preventive & Metabolic Health in Frisco, TX
Amanda Dunn, APRN-CNP, is a nurse practitioner at Clover Family Medicine in Frisco, TX. As part of a Ms.Medicine Affiliate practice, she cares for teens and adults. Her focus is preventive and metabolic health: weight management, hormone optimization, and primary care built around each person.
Amanda spent years as a bedside nurse before becoming a nurse practitioner. The part of the job she valued most was getting to know her patients, seeing the bigger picture of their health, and helping guide their care past a single visit. She wanted a bigger role in that care, so she went back to school. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Lutheran University and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington.
She likes helping patients understand what’s going on in their bodies and find the root cause of what’s bothering them. Then she works with them on changes they can actually keep up. She treats the whole person, not just a diagnosis or a lab result. Patients say she’s approachable, easy to talk to, and thorough, and that she explains their care in plain terms. She wants everyone to leave feeling heard and confident in the plan.
“Meaningful care starts with listening. My goal is to make sure every patient feels heard, understood, and confident in the plan we create together.”
— Amanda Dunn, APRN, AGNP-C
Amanda is a mom, and she knows what it takes to balance a career with family life. That’s why her plans are realistic. They’re built to fit into a patient’s life, so nobody’s life has to revolve around their healthcare.
Through her work with Ms.Medicine, Amanda joins a national network of clinicians dedicated to advancing women’s healthcare through evidence-based, relationship-driven, and time-rich medical care.
